Today's Scripture
"For the one whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God gives the Spirit without limit. The Father loves the Son and has placed everything in his hands." — John 3:34-35 (NIV)
Jesus Christ, the Son of God, carries the fullness of God’s presence, power, and authority. John 3:34-35 reminds us that God has given the Spirit to Jesus without limit, and everything—life, death, resurrection, and dominion—has been entrusted to Him. Through Jesus, we have access to the very power of God to bring life, hope, and redemption to every situation.
Jesus carries the authority to give life because He is life itself. In John 11:25, Jesus declares, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die.” His victory over death through the resurrection assures us that the power of life and death is in His hands. He defeated the grave, bringing eternal life to those who believe in Him.
The Holy Spirit, given without measure to Jesus, empowers Him to speak God’s words and fulfill His will perfectly. Colossians 2:9 confirms, “For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form.” When we place our trust in Jesus, we are not trusting in limited human ability but in the infinite power and presence of God working in and through Him.
Jesus’ dominion extends over all creation. Matthew 28:18 proclaims, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.” This authority gives us confidence that every situation in our lives is under His sovereign control. He works all things together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28).
Three Practical Ways to Lean Into the Power of Jesus Today:
Speak His Promises: When challenges arise, declare the authority of Jesus over them. Use scriptures like John 11:25 and Matthew 28:18 to remind yourself of His power and victory.
Pray with Confidence: Bring your needs and concerns to Jesus in prayer, trusting that He has the authority to move in your life and the wisdom to work all things for your good.
Trust His Timing: Surrender your worries and trust that Jesus’ dominion includes perfect timing. Rest in the assurance that He is in control and His plans for you are good.
Through Jesus Christ, the fullness of God is present and active in your life. Trust Him today, lean into His power, and watch as He works all things for His glory and your good.
