Today's Scripture
"Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?’" — John 11:25-26 (NIV)
Jesus’ words in John 11:25-26 are a powerful reminder that He is the source of life—eternal and abundant. Through Him, death has lost its sting, and those who believe in Him are promised everlasting life. This truth doesn’t just bring hope for the future but transforms how we live in the present, filling our days with joy, peace, and purpose.
Because of Jesus’ resurrection, we no longer need to fear death or the challenges of life. 1 Corinthians 15:55-57 triumphantly declares, “Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting? … But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” Jesus overcame the grave, granting us eternal life and freedom from the power of sin and death.
Believing in Jesus as the resurrection and the life means trusting Him as the source of true peace and joy. In John 10:10, Jesus says, “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” This abundant life is not defined by material possessions or earthly success but by the richness of His presence, love, and guidance.
In Jesus, we find peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7) and joy that no circumstance can diminish (John 15:11). He invites us to live with confidence, knowing that our future is secure in Him and that His Spirit empowers us to walk in victory every day.
Three Practical Ways to Apply This Today:
Meditate on His Victory: Reflect on John 11:25-26 and 1 Corinthians 15:55-57 throughout the day. Let these verses remind you of Jesus’ triumph over death and the promise of eternal life.
Live with Purpose: Approach today with the confidence that your life has eternal significance. Use your words and actions to share His love and bring joy to others.
Rest in His Peace: Whenever you feel overwhelmed, pause and pray, asking Jesus to fill your heart with His peace and remind you of the hope you have in Him.
Jesus is the resurrection and the life. Believe in Him, walk in His joy and peace, and live boldly in the freedom His victory brings.
