Scripture for Today
But now, this is what the LORD says— he who created you, Jacob, he who formed you, Israel: “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. - Isaiah 43:1 NIV
God is a promise-keeping God. He sees you right where you are and will come alongside and walk with you through the storms and the issues of life. In this scripture, we see that God is encouraging Israel to trust in Him as a nation.
We see here that God promises Israel that he is with them. He tells them not to fear, for they are now redeemed. This is the word of the Lord that is coming through the prophet Isaiah. It is the word of the Lord to His people that he is their God and that he has called them by name.
Out of his great love, we see that God is calling his people back home. He is redeeming Israel. During this period of time, they are captives of the Babylonian Empire. They've been subjected to the consequences of their idol worship and their disobedience to God. But He has not abandoned them. He has come through the prophet Isaiah to bring them back into right alignment with Him.
God is able to meet you right where you are and bring peace. He knows what you're enduring, and He is faithful. You may be dealing with situations that are far beyond your control, and God is right there in the midst. He is bringing a new light and ushering forth a new season with His word. In this verse of scripture, we see in Isaiah 43 where he is indeed introducing a turnaround.
The Redemption of God changes everything. To be redeemed is to be truly free. Receive the grace of God this morning and believe in His word. He is more than able to bring you back to life.
Three Practical Ways To Walk Out This Word Daily
1. Receive God’s Grace Daily
Start each day by remembering that you belong to God and His grace covers you completely. Ephesians 2:8 reminds us that it is by grace we have been saved, not by works. Let His grace silence condemnation and renew your confidence in His love.
2. Let Go of the Past
Release the weight of yesterday’s failures and hurts into God’s hands. Philippians 3:13 encourages us to forget what is behind and strain toward what is ahead. Surrendering the past allows you to walk lighter and trust that God redeems all things for His glory.
3. Step Into New Freedom
Live boldly knowing that you are redeemed and called by name. Galatians 5:1 declares that it is for freedom Christ has set us free. Walk in that freedom by making choices that honor God and reflect your identity as His beloved child.
Closing Encouragement
You are not defined by fear or by your past. You are redeemed, named, and cherished by God. Each day is a fresh opportunity to embrace His grace and walk in the freedom He has secured for you.
