Scripture for Today
38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[a] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. - Romans 8:38-39 KJV
The love of God is not conditional. It is the reason that God sent Jesus to walk out this walk with us and to be the author and finisher of our faith. This scripture shows us that nothing can separate us from that love.
The biggest trick of the enemy is convincing us that somehow, because we have made mistakes, we didn't always do things right, and we may have hurt people or been hurt along our journey, that somehow God does not love us. Or that in some shape or fashion, God is apart from us.
The Bible clearly shows us that God is with us and that he would never leave us nor forsake us.
6 Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” - Deuteronomy 31:6 NIV
Our God is with us. Right now, the spirit of God is at work within you to do exceedingly abundantly above all that you could possibly ask or think. That power is at work within you right now. So nothing can separate that love from you. Nothing can separate his Spirit from you.
You are covered once you are in the Master's hand. There is no ripping you from the hand of God. There is no ripping you from the love of God. Nothing can separate you. In this moment, if you feel isolated, alone, and feel like God is far from you, remember that that is not possible. He is not far from you. His Spirit is dwelling within you.
His love covers you and nothing can separate you from it. Remember the Lord your God. Sit with Him and be mindful of God. Be mindful of sitting in his presence and knowing intimately that He is God alone.
Three Practical Ways To Walk Out This Word Daily
1. Rest in God’s Unchanging Love
Each day remind yourself that God’s love is not based on your performance but on His nature. When feelings of guilt or shame try to creep in, speak Romans 8:38-39 aloud as a declaration of truth. Meditate on scriptures such as Lamentations 3:22-23 which says, “Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning.” Allow this truth to quiet your mind and bring peace to your heart.
2. Reject the Lies of the Enemy
The enemy wants you to believe you are separated from God. Counter his lies with the Word of God. When doubts arise, declare Deuteronomy 31:6, “The Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” Practice replacing negative thoughts with God’s promises. Journaling these promises and praying them daily can reinforce your faith and shield you from deception.
3. Live Boldly in the Assurance of God’s Presence
Knowing that nothing can separate you from God’s love should embolden you to step forward in faith. Pursue the assignments God has placed on your life with confidence. Share His love with others without fear of rejection, trusting that His Spirit dwells within you. As 2 Timothy 1:7 declares, “For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.”
Closing Encouragement
You are securely held in the love of God through Christ Jesus. Nothing in this world or beyond has the power to separate you from Him. Walk each day in confidence, reject lies that suggest otherwise, and rest in the assurance that His presence and His love will always remain with you.
