11 Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 12 No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.
So many are looking for the missing ingredient. The one thing that will bring them peace in the midst of the chaos. We are looking for the answers and solutions in the world. We are looking for things to line up and for our hearts to be fulfilled through the things of this world.
Thanks be to God, nothing can separate us from the love of God. Not our fears. Not our emotions. Not the things that we think we need. Nothing can stand between us and the love of the Father. This love resides in us through the Spirit of God. Never seeing God, we believe that He is and that He has made a way out of no way.
We believe in the sovereignty of God and the power of God. We know that God is the one who makes the crooked ways straight. We know that He makes the impossible things possible. We know that there is nothing too hard for the Lord. All of these things without ever seeing God.
Still, many have never seen the all-encompassing love of the Father inside of another human being. They've never seen the love that is extended out by grace and by faith that God is the provider when this world chases material things, money, and fame. God gives us worship and submission. He gives us the assignment of being a light on the hill and shows us how to love one another
This love is powered by His Spirit and when we love one another, it shows others the heart of the Father. That love then makes us a demonstration of God's great love for us. In loving one another, we reflect back that love that God has so graciously extended to us. To love one another is to lean into God’s instruction and to trust in His ways.
There is nothing greater than this love. There is nothing greater than loving one another. In doing so, the love of God becomes complete in us.
Three Ways To Walk Out This Word Today
1. Love First, Ask Later
Respond with Compassion Instead of Judgment
Before asking questions, making assumptions, or withdrawing in offense, choose to lead with love. Extend kindness and understanding even when you don’t fully agree or understand. This kind of love does not wait to be earned. It reflects the grace of God, who loved us while we were still broken. Loving first opens doors for deeper healing, deeper trust, and deeper reflection of God’s heart.
2. Show Up with Purpose
Be Present for the People God Has Placed Around You
Sometimes, the most powerful expression of love is your presence. A visit, a call, a warm meal, or a simple message that says, “You are not alone.” When you intentionally show up for others, especially in their moments of need, you embody the love of God in a way that words cannot fully capture. Presence speaks louder than performance. Be the hands and heart of Jesus to someone today.
3. Choose Sacrificial Love Daily
Put Someone Else’s Needs Ahead of Your Own
Love is not always convenient. It costs time, energy, pride, and comfort. When you give up your right to be right, offer help when it's inconvenient, or forgive without being asked, you tap into the same kind of love God gave to us. This sacrificial love does more than bless others—it shapes you into a vessel where God’s love becomes visible, complete, and fully alive.
By putting these practices into action, you help reveal a God who cannot be seen with the eyes but is known through our hearts. When you love this way, others encounter Him through you.
