Scripture For Today
25 God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement,[a] through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished— 26 he did it to demonstrate his righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus. - Romans 3:25-26 NIV
Free From The Weight Of Sin
We are justified by faith. Not by works. When we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we are accepting Him as the atonement for our sins. By the blood that was shed on the cross, we have been made free from the weight of sin. We are no longer bound by the punishments, the shame, or the power of sin.
Jesus was sent as a living sacrifice out of God's great love for you and me. Accept today that you are no longer subject to the weight of the mistakes that you have made. There are some things you have had to live through. Yes, there are some doubts that you may have needed to recover from. However, the weight of these mistakes and missteps is no longer yours to bear. You are justified by faith.
Receive The Grace
The grace and glory of God cover you today by faith. Not because you were always a good person, but because He has always been a good, good God. The only wise God. The living word. The word made flesh and crucified for you and I.
Receive his love today. Receive the grace of God today. Receive the release from every old thing. Believe that the Lord your God died on the cross and shed blood that you may be free to release and let go of every old thing.
Three Practical Ways To Walk Out This Scripture Today:
1. Declare Your Freedom Out Loud
Speak the truth of Romans 3:25–26 over your life each morning. Say out loud, “I am justified by faith. I am free from the weight of sin. I am covered by the grace of God.” When you confess God’s word with your mouth, you reinforce what is already true in your spirit. Your thoughts begin to align with your faith, and freedom becomes your mindset.
2. Stop Revisiting What God Has Released
The enemy wants you to keep rehearsing your past. But you are no longer tied to that old identity. If God has already justified you through the blood of Jesus, then stop reopening wounds He has already healed. Refuse to re-punish yourself for things God has already forgiven. When thoughts of regret arise, gently remind yourself, “That has been covered by the blood. I am justified by faith.”
3. Offer Grace to Others Like You’ve Received It
When you understand the depth of the grace you have received, it empowers you to extend that same grace to others. Let today be a day where you release bitterness and extend forgiveness. Let the same love that redeemed you overflow into your relationships. When you show grace to others, you become a living reflection of the gospel at work.
Closing Encouragement
You are not defined by your mistakes. You are not bound to the shame of your past. The blood of Jesus has already made you clean. The righteousness of God is not far from you—it is resting on your life because of Jesus. Stand in that truth today. Walk in it confidently. God has already declared you justified. All you need to do is receive it by faith. Keep your eyes on Jesus and remember: you are deeply loved, fully forgiven, and completely free.
