Scripture for Today
She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.” - Matthew 1:21 NIV
Jesus is our Lord and Savior. Out of his great love, God sent his son, Jesus Christ, for us. He sent his son so that we could be reconciled back to him. Our faith is rooted in the belief that Jesus died on the cross, fought for the keys of life and death, and in three days rose again.
This is the light that we can receive and reflect back into the world. Jesus was sent to save us from our sins. We can reflect that love and that Grace into the world in a way that shows people that God is real. He is a good, good father who loves us, sacrifices for us, and keeps us in the midst of life's storms.
This is the joy that is worth us fighting for. This is the opportunity that we have to become living epistles and be read of men. Today is another chance to demonstrate the love of the father through our sacrifices, prayers, and love for one another.
This morning, rise and remember that Jesus is Lord. He is mighty to save and faithful to restore to us the joy of His salvation. Before he left his mother's womb, Jesus was given the assignment and the name of being the saviour to humanity. We need only to receive it and say yes to walking this out with hope, joy, and peace in our hearts.
Three Practical Ways To Walk Out This Word Daily
1. Live in Daily Gratitude for Salvation
Begin each day by remembering that Jesus came to save you from sin. Take a moment in prayer to thank God for sending His Son, not only as a Savior to the world but as your personal Redeemer. Reflect on Romans 5:8 which says, “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Living in gratitude sets your heart in alignment with God’s mercy and renews your perspective.
2. Walk in Freedom and Leave Sin Behind
Since Jesus has already saved you from the grip of sin, choose to walk in freedom each day. This means letting go of habits, thoughts, or actions that draw you away from God. Instead, replace them with intentional obedience to His Word. Galatians 5:1 reminds us, “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.” By making conscious choices that honor Him, you step fully into the salvation He secured.
3. Share the Hope of Salvation with Others
One of the most powerful ways to live out this truth is by sharing the good news with others. Jesus’ name means “the Lord saves,” and this message is meant to be spread. Look for opportunities to encourage someone with your testimony or point them to Scripture. Romans 10:14 challenges us, “How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard?” Be intentional about being a light to those still searching for hope.
Closing Encouragement
Rejoice today that salvation has come through Jesus Christ. He is not only the Savior of the world but your Savior personally. Live in His freedom, reflect His light, and walk with confidence in the eternal hope you have received.
