Scripture for Today
For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea. - Habakkuk 2:14 NIV
This morning, be the light on the hill that spreads God’s love as far as your life can reach. We all have a scope of influence through work, through our social media, and our personal lives. It may feel like you are simply walking through the world doing the day-to-day things needed to maintain your life.
However, this is so much greater. Every day that you awake is another day where you can be the light and be a part of the knowledge of the glory of God filling the earth. There is an essential breakthrough that happens when you take today’s scripture and write it on your heart.
You can come to the realization that your life is essential in God’s glory filling the earth. How does God pour out His glory? He does this through submitted vessels who say “Yes” to being used by God. We see this evidenced in Isaiah 6:8 in the King James version:
Also, I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me. - Isaiah 6:8 KJV
Isaiah says “Yes” to being used by God and being sent for His purposes. Isaiah’s “Yes” tells us that God is seeking those who will be submitted for His glory to fill the earth.
Three Practical Ways To Walk Out This Word Daily
1. Live as a Witness of His Glory
Share the truth of who God is through your words and actions. When you choose integrity, love, and kindness, you reflect His glory. Jesus said, “Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven” (Matthew 5:16).
2. Study and Meditate on God’s Word
The knowledge of God’s glory increases as you spend time in Scripture. Make it a daily habit to not only read but to meditate on His Word. As the psalmist said, “I meditate on your precepts and consider your ways” (Psalm 119:15).
3. Pray for God’s Glory to Be Revealed
Intercede for your family, community, and the nations to experience God’s glory. Pray with expectation that His presence will fill the earth, just as waters cover the sea. “Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:10).
Closing Encouragement
As you walk faithfully in Christ, remember you are part of God’s plan to spread His glory across the earth. Your daily obedience shines His light in a world that desperately needs Him.
